Svasara Jungle Lodge is born from a singular belief — that the most profound travel experiences arise when comfort and conservation coexist without compromise. Nestled in the buffer zone of the Kolara range, just 2 kilometres from the Kolara gate, Svasara is not merely a resort but a living, breathing philosophy.
Each of the 14 eco-cottages has been constructed using locally sourced stone, reclaimed timber, and natural fibres — treading lightly on a land that has nurtured some of India's most celebrated Bengal tigers. Solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and a zero-plastic policy ensure that every night you spend here, the forest benefits too.
At Svasara, time slows. Guided by a team of expert naturalists who have spent decades studying Tadoba's fauna and flora, you will discover layers of the jungle invisible to the casual eye — the alarm calls that signal a predator's presence, the footprint in the mud that tells a night's story, the rare orchid blooming in the canopy above.

Kolara Gate — One of Tadoba's Finest Tiger Corridors
Svasara's prime location — just 2 kilometres from the celebrated Kolara Gate — gives guests privileged access to one of Tadoba's highest tiger-sighting zones. The Kolara range is home to several resident tiger families and offers dense forest cover ideal for wildlife photography.
Our dedicated safari concierge team pre-arranges all gate permits weeks in advance. Morning safaris depart at 5:30 AM with a pre-safari briefing, hot beverage, and a handpicked naturalist-guide. Evening safaris leave at 3:00 PM, returning by dusk with the jungle chorus in full song.

At Svasara's open-air Mahua Restaurant, dining is an experience as memorable as any safari. Executive Chef Priya Nair draws inspiration from the rich culinary traditions of Vidarbha — Maharashtra's heartland — weaving together hyperlocal ingredients with contemporary techniques.
Breakfast is a lazy, abundant affair — fresh forest honey, organic seasonal fruits, Saoji-spiced eggs, and handmade bread baked in a wood-fired oven. Lunches are light and vibrant, and dinners transition to an intimate, candlelit experience beneath the canopy with live acoustic performances on weekends.

- ✈ By Air:Nagpur Airport (Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport) is the nearest airport, approximately 145 km from Svasara. Taxis and pre-arranged resort transfers take 2.5–3 hours.
- 🚂 By Train:Chandrapur Railway Station is 45 km away. Wardha Junction is also accessible (85 km). Our concierge arranges comfortable SUV transfers from either station.
- 🚗 By Road:From Nagpur: NH 930 → Chandrapur → Chimur Road → Kolara Village. GPS coordinates shared upon booking confirmation.
